About Me

My photo
Lisa Draski
Chicago, IL, United States
I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in May 2008 with a BA in Film and a concentration in Critical Studies. Film and writing are my greatest passions in life, and finding a field where I can combine both, film/critical studies, is a dream come true. I love doing research, deconstructing and analyzing films, and writing very academically and critically about them. I ultimately want to be a film historian, but I am also interested in working in archiving or preserving films. I want to write analysis or reviews for a publication, as well as my own books. I have another blog devoted to casual film reviews, but this is my professional blog. Thus, it features my academic work from Columbia. Almost everything is film-related, except for a couple papers about other art forms. For each paper, I will include an abstract and excerpts. Please contact me if you want to read more. Thanks for visiting, and happy reading!
